Adeayo sabi music!. When he said Ayra does music that is masculine but with a feminine touch relatable to Nigeria. He sums up Ayra music!.. Ayra is kind of the embodiment of what a Nigerian male artist would be if they were women. That is exactly what she does but a lot of people haven't figured it out yet. Even Rihanna did say she has a voice that can appeal to both sexes b/c the voice is unique, and you might not be able to guess if it's a man or woman singing plus the subject of the song too can form a decoy to an average listener who dont know her. Example is Rush. A lot of ppl thought a man sang it. Her voice is her superpower.
Ayra got Seyi & Asake to explore different sound/ tempo while simultaneously asking Anitta & coco jones to perform an uptempo afrobeats records. This is gangsta!. Every one of them delivered. People will understand the brilliance of this album later.
The album is really good. 9.5/10 for me. Great review btw.

It's a brilliant album with longevity potential. It has songs you'd hear years later and still like. Her team must not let her down. She needs international push.

Very good review but as a Congolese person I got what she did with Sability and think it's a great song as she sampled Awilo the Congolese legend.

Arya voice is very distinct! You can tell is Nigerian(she sings with her Nigerian accent) but you cannot really say she is male or female.
Also Arya had a great album roll out.
And she is creating her own path as she a female in a very male dominant industry.
Her music videos though could be better! She is very capable of doing better videos!
She does for the most part appeal only to the Nigerian market hence I hope she remains authentic but explore a little bit more with being universal as she speaks about being inspired by American artists... I am a fan and I am South African. I'm excited for what's to come in her career cause I want her to be a global pop star and not just a global Afrobeats pop star... She has the potential!

Ayra Starr running circles around both Asake and seyi vibes is kinda disrespectful to the duo. Though I understand Adeayo's perspective of eulogizing her creative input on the tracks and her confidence but a whole lot of people especially the Stan may not take it lightly.

Very good album that deserves a Grammy but unfortunately the Grammy academy has adopted the rotational or zonal approach to award winners in the global music performance and other categories having West African artists, whereby artists from other parts of the world are 'CARRIED ALONG' irrespective of whether or not their works matches the quality, standard and popularity of that of the West Africans.

Your bias is clear - you are a stan! Please, relax...
There are so many flaws with the album. Also, she did not run circles around Seyi Vibes and Asake. That is totally false. Her best song in the album was leveraged by ASAKE.
Also, Ayra complained about the lack of luster in the album compared to her first album in a recently deleted RUclips content.

He's not being biased he's actually saying the true...No album is actually perfect yes but Asake ruined the goodbye song...You clearly listened too the album with hate or something...If he was really a stan then he will have said sability was good song...The album was a rollercoasteer of emotions and it was evident...Also back too the goodbye song...Asake was not needed so dont even give him any praises...It willl have been better solo...
